milano, italy !

so i've been here in milan for quite some time, but i still haven't done the review. so today i set my mind to finally do it. it's a bit shabby, because i don't actually have a lot material and the one i have is not really good, but still. it is what it is. without further ado, my life in past couple of months.

 for those who dont know.. im a slovenian. and 'laško pivo' is probably the most famous slovenian beer. and it was just so heart warming when i saw this little friend across the street of where i live. just like.. you know. a piece of home :)

because i've been here from end of september.. i've celebrated my bday here. and i made cupcakes for everyone :) although here on the photo they are without the frosting. no photos of that. they were just too delicious to wait for that.

i got really home sick in december.. so i made these cookies my mom used to make.

nostalgia

so lately i've been a pretty good working little bee. this concerns the faculty work. and working all these long hours sets me back to my first year of studying. i was living in this amazing apartment in the very center of the city (for which i'll be forever grateful to my parents) but i wasn't really used being alone so whenever i had to work i had tv on in the background and my favorite channel was always mtv2 - the rock channel. it's so funny i've never realized how certain song got imprinted in my mind (and i don't even like all of them) and over the years they became the trigger for my association to school work. now we don't have a tv in the apartment where i live and i must say it's been years since i've heard them. but being in the working mode i am now the reverse thing happened. the songs didn't trigger my motivation to work, the work reminded me of the songs. so here is the list that was playing non stop in the lovely winter of 2006/2007.

i soo want this - it's a mixture of my favorite things - pb, cinnamon and raisins. right now. and yes. with two spoons preferable. if you know what i mean :)

i was growing up in the 90ies. so it's only logical that home alone 1 + 2 are my fave christmas movies.
in that spirit -  here is the greeting card from me to all of you !

if it's unclear.. that's me and my cat - henrietta berlioz! you can see how terribly excited she is about the xmas hat! :) and yes, im that kind of a person who does that! and i like it!
