why do architects wear black and not see-through-blue underwear??

So i went to Rome this weekend. It was awesome of course and I will do a report as soon as I gather the pictures (I know.. I still owe you a Milano report, I didn't forget.. it's just on the back burner for now).

But yes - Rome. It was amazing. The only problem I have is.. the photos. You see, there is a wildly spread rumor that architects wear only black. There is even a book about that - called 'why do architects wear black?'

My problem is that on those photos from Rome (we were there for 3 days) I look like I'm wearing the same thing.. because it's all black. And I was so surprised when a friend came to visit me at my home here in Milano and I had on 'home clothes' - dark gray H&M leggings, red boyfriend RL shirt, and she said 'wow, finally I see you in something that is not black'. Didn't pay much attention then but seeing my recent photos.. it makes me wonder.. is colour really better?
