damn, i did it again.
totally forgot (well, not really) that i actually didnt write here for the longest time.
well, im back.
and here are some boobs to make us feel all better.
changed my mind. no boobs. just a cute/funny gif that goes with my train of thoughts lately with missing my love and all. (oh, yeah. i finished my studies in milano, so im back home. yey - read this sarcastically)
feeling totally hopelessly romantic today. which is usually completely out of my comfort zone. but im slowly getting used to it with the help of my lovely loving lover aka my bf :)
// Something inside the cards I know is right Don't want to live Somebody elses life This is what I want to be And this is what I give to you Because I get it free//
// I'm here to be your only go between //
// What I really want to do is Turn it into motion Beauty that I can't abuse //
// Come again and tell me Where you want to go What it means to me To be with you alone Close the door and No one has to know How we are //
so last night kasabian had a free concert in the middle of milano. it was amazing :) i really like them (gonna post my fave song later) and the fact that it was free made the whole thing even better.
i took some pics, and what i realized was, that i was actually really low budget myself.
i bought this nice nail polish few days ago in kiko (you gotta love kiko here in italy). and it was on sale for only 2,5€. not bad
here you can see again my currently go-to outerwear - the studded jacket. i bought it on winter sales for a nice price. i think original price was 70 or 80€, but i got it for only 25.. which is quite a nice deal i think.
you cant see it here, but underneath i have a mtv brand t-shirt, my ex roommate got for me from ny. so it was free for me :)
and the extremely cute blue scarf with purple owls was a xmas gift. again free.
here you can see my super cool amazing sequin shorts which i also bought on winter sales for only 10€.
and my old-as-earth chuck taylors.. which i had for so long, i dont even remember the price.
aaaalso.. here im holding a rose that my lovely bf bought for me.
what you cant see on these photos is our drinking island.. you know a bag with vodka and fanta and some cups, and us, religiously dancing around it.
all in all.. very low budget :)
and here are some photos of the concert, which was pretty amazing by itself. im proud to say i converted my darling into a fan. :)
last was is with no people, cos it was taken after the concert. i tried to catch the mess everybody left behind.. but blurriness got in the way :)
in recent months 4 items became my standard attire.
- my dad's old vintage casio watch
i had the band reduced to a smaller size.. it's still a bit big, but i like it that way
- my frog ring
i bought it for my birthday here in milano at a flea market that takes place every saturday morning at p.ta genova and i managed to loose it when i went to rome in november. but luckily, when i came back again, they had one more. so this is actually froggy no.2
- my poodle ring
i also bought that one at the same flea market at the froggy one and i was so happy about it, beeecaaause.. one time a facebook quiz told me, if i was a dog, id be a poodle. so you see, it's perfect
- my cruciani bracelet
when i first came to italy, everybody had those bracelets. no, really. everybody. old ladies at the supermarket, hot (HOT) young business guys on the metro, random people on streets. and my first thought was.. well, that's one trend im not giving into. buuuuut, later i found out the story, and i liked it. so i bought this one for me, and another one (the same, except for the blue heart) for my boyfriend (hell yeah, i have one, not sure if i mentioned before.. nevermind, he'll get his own post soon enough). and another one, but the classic version for luck for my sis. and im happy i did. i've grown to really love it
so few months ago i was writing about wanting this mega super cool bra (link here)
aaaaand, my lovely sister was so brilliant she actually found the girl that's making those and send me her contact
(if anybody else is interested).. and i thought that it's not expensive
and she makes them in my size, so i decided to give it a go and ordered
it.
i got it pretty fast, but didn't quite get the chance to wear it. i mean.. you kinda need an occasion, no? :) im freaky, but not that freaky..
those are mine :) skeleton hands and boobies
and then finally came last weekend and a perfect opportunity to debut my
creepy skeleton hands. here in milano i reeeeaaally reaaally like 'punks wear prada' parties. what i love about them most (beside awesome people you always get a chance to meet) is that they're theme
parties. but last weekend i was at a loss for inspiration and also not
completely feeling the theme.. so i said 'hell.. let's go with it'.
the blurry-ness goes perfectly with the slightly
inhibriated atmosphere :)
girls making friends at the bathroom (only logical place)
and finally i met this young cutie-pie who had just the most amazing hat, which he generously lent to me for some pics.
hell yeah it say 'swag' on it. i've been making fun for sooo long of
all the swaggsters and yolo-ers, that it actually came into my habit to
say 'swaaaag' :) of course i can't forget to mention here lady kreayshawn and her the-most-amazing-verse-evah from 'gucci gucci'
'i got the swag and it's pumping out my ovaries'
things just can't get classier than this :)
ps. you can also see here my new jacket - with the nets.. just looove it :) wear it at any occasion possible
and i also like this pic so im posting it so shut up! :)
there is a new trend in town all the cool kids are apparently using in music world right now - backwards videos. i must say.. i like them :) maybe because i was so impressed years ago with the Memento movie. it was so different. not the usual movie trick, when they show you a glimpse of the ending and then go to the beginning, but legit backwards story that keeps you in suspense for the whole time.
so here is the pick of my top three right now.
this one is just a fun song.. no deeper meaning. cool to listen to :)
i haven't heard this one enough to be sure if i really like it or i just like it because im used to liking 'yeah yeah yeahs' and i really do like little miss lily :)
and my new obsession atm. it's a pretty depressing song lyrics-wise, going on about fighting depression or perhaps drug abuse (i think the lyrics are quite open to interpretation in different ways) but i dont know.. it kinda comes together really well. i cant get enough of it.
i realized that i havent posted anything lately.. super busy. so, here are some of my silly faces. just because.. and the song im obsessing with lately.
.. // nothing major or too complicated
just a friendly wager that we orchestrated // ..
.. // cut my heart out
with a feather
and put an end to any
extra pressure // ..
.. // ride around on mellow ways of mercy
and fill the space with lack of controversy // ..
.. // set it up to follow you
on my aeroplane
here's a present
for the future memory lane // ..
.. // in the month of june
i'll be a moth to your flame // ..
so i've been a fan of 'Threadless' for quite some time.. but now finally the time came when i ignored my inner self-consciousness and actually made an entry..
here is the link to my first ever submission to them and it's a competition themed monster.
so i've been here in milan for quite some time, but i still haven't done the review. so today i set my mind to finally do it. it's a bit shabby, because i don't actually have a lot material and the one i have is not really good, but still. it is what it is. without further ado, my life in past couple of months.
for those who dont know.. im a slovenian. and 'laško pivo' is probably the most famous slovenian beer. and it was just so heart warming when i saw this little friend across the street of where i live. just like.. you know. a piece of home :)
also in my neighborhood.. fab andrej peijic.
some nice details from the walk through the center..
excelsior. yeah. self-explanatory
cool graffiti i found near colonne
totally normal disposal of an old tv
cats. a lot of them. a lot. the memo said there are 14 of them in our building area.
found this little fellow sleeping. he just turned around and went back to it :)
this is in our bike area. somebody took the effort and made those barrel houses for cats. nice
because i've been here from end of september.. i've celebrated my bday here. and i made cupcakes for everyone :) although here on the photo they are without the frosting. no photos of that. they were just too delicious to wait for that.
i got really home sick in december.. so i made these cookies my mom used to make.
and now few pics of my room.
oh, yeah.. lots of handsome men in my room. all the time. really slutty :)
left: my bed with awesome cow pillow. right: working area. and yes, there is dr. frankenfurther on my background.
view from my room.
really crappy panoramic view of my 'make it feel like home' project. the room was quite boring so i put all these pics from magazines on the wall.
the little ozi (my darling friend jošt made/gave it to me for my bday last year)
so lately i've been a pretty good working little bee. this concerns the faculty work. and working all these long hours sets me back to my first year of studying. i was living in this amazing apartment in the very center of the city (for which i'll be forever grateful to my parents) but i wasn't really used being alone so whenever i had to work i had tv on in the background and my favorite channel was always mtv2 - the rock channel. it's so funny i've never realized how certain song got imprinted in my mind (and i don't even like all of them) and over the years they became the trigger for my association to school work. now we don't have a tv in the apartment where i live and i must say it's been years since i've heard them. but being in the working mode i am now the reverse thing happened. the songs didn't trigger my motivation to work, the work reminded me of the songs. so here is the list that was playing non stop in the lovely winter of 2006/2007.
i'm really busy right now and i dont really have time for writing posts (the ones in the making will be interesting, i promise) but for now.. just a print screen still shot from 'girls' (nice show btw).
i soo want this - it's a mixture of my favorite things - pb, cinnamon and raisins. right now. and yes. with two spoons preferable. if you know what i mean :)
i was growing up in the 90ies. so it's only logical that home alone 1 + 2 are my fave christmas movies.
in that spirit - here is the greeting card from me to all of you !
(and i know it says christmas, but feel free to change that in you mind to hanukkah or kwanzaa or whatever you celebrate. satan)
if it's unclear.. that's me and my cat - henrietta berlioz! you can see how terribly excited she is about the xmas hat! :) and yes, im that kind of a person who does that! and i like it!
Some of you know that I'm not an only child. I have a big sis. Probably due to me being away for quite some time now I'm starting to go completely bananas with missing my family. My sister, niece, parents, cat. Ok, friends as well.. but today I wanted to talk about my sister.
Growing up with 7 years difference between us surely wasn't ideal for her or me. I was a pretty annoying child (guess some things never change) and I adored her, which of course meant I wanted to hang out with her ALL THE TIME! And sometimes I was pushing so hard our mom eventually caved and forced her to take me to the movies with her and her friends. I loved it. She of course hated it.
My sister's name is Maja. Probably all Europeans recognize this name thanks to the 80ies (or 70ies??) cartoon - Die Biene Maja
So one year when she was already studying at faculty she wanted to be a bee for Halloween. And mom made her an awesome costume. What happened next year? I squeezed myself into it (we are very different looking - while I'm short and curvy she's tall and model-like).
that's me in the first year of my high school :) in retrospective.. this looked so much better on her.. i really shouldn't have forced myself into it :) i remember i had to wear two bras to squeeze my boobs enough for the zipper to close
But I think this is something all us 'younger ones' go through. Our older siblings are our role models. They can't do anything wrong. And we want to copy every single thing. I believe this kind of acting is even worse when you have a sibling of the same sex. You just want to be a little copy of your older sister/brother and they want to do anything to avoid you :)
Thinking back on our growing up I'm not surprised she was always into some new band or style because it was my standard routine that I was into whatever she was. I remember being around 6, 7 and I was 'listening' to Guns N' Roses. I think I only knew 'November Rain' but my sister was into them and so was I. And then Nirvana. And then rave. I will never forget one time.. when we were with some other girls her age. And I was 11 maybe? And I didn't understand why the hell were they all laughing at me when I said I'm into raves. Because I did own a pair of shiny silver pants!
But I was never really ashamed of admitting that I'm practically copying everything she did. Because in my eyes she was totally the coolest person ever so why would that be bad. Looking on the past now, I still don't think it was bad. In fact I'm kinda grateful for her trying always to escape from me and searching new things, because I certainly learned a lot more than I would on my own. Especially when it comes to music. I will always feel in debt to my sister, because when all these cheesy boy bands came along, she was old enough to hate them (except 'Take That'.. they were her weak spot. But I think better them than 'Backstreet Boys') so naturally I hated them. I am proud to say I never owned a CITA poster or had a crush on Nick!
The summer I finished my 4th year of elementary she and a friend of hers went to a language course to L.A. Returning with (to me at least) sick ass new wardrobe she also brought a Alanis Morissette CD - Jagged Little Pill. I listened to that religiously for months.
After that I slowly started to realize I wanted my own identity and was trying to find my own cup of tea. It was a rocky road :)
Much later, when (I believe) she was over trying to get away from my never ending stalking and
was more into broadening my horizons, she got me to listen to The
Beatles (not 'The Yellow Submarine' mainstream stuff, but more their not so famous things which in my opinion is the best), Queen and other epic music.
So why am I talking about all this today? Well.. I'm feeling a bit blue and I'm spending the day with 90ies music in the background.. and I came across this video I really like. Song? It's ok. But video I really like. Don't know why actually. It's not brilliant, it's not that original. Maybe it's just the feeling I get when watching it, because it reminds me of my sister :)
That's it for now. Just 8 more days and I'll be at home, hugging the shit out of everybody :)
And sis.. if you're reading this - I love you!
so i found this pic below on a friends tumblr (it's really nice.. but i must warn you - first time i saw it.. i felt a bit violated. let's just say i had to take a shower and i cried a bit - and i don't even mind porn. but it does have loads of cute kitteh.. sooo.. it equals out??)
this is the pic:
my question is:
if i want smaller boobs, does that mean the books i read are too good?
i like that thought :)
